UPDATE JUNE 28th: Open for mail orders again. Big changes are on the horizon for the delivery of XL items - Belle Towers and George & Grande Belles.
UPDATE JUNE 17th: Sorry for the late notice! we have had to extend our mail order suspension for a further week, due to a family bereavement. You will find everything listed as 'out of stock', until we are ready to take orders again. We will be back on June 28th...
You can track the ups and down, highs and lows and general disruption of Plant Belles Coronavirus Journey on our updates timeline...
UPDATE JUNE 1st: Open for mail orders again, but with short delays due to volume of orders to make, pack and send. Please be patient with us!
UPDATE May 21st: We will be re-opening for mail orders again on May 31st, at the end of half term, after a short closure to catch up!
UPDATE May 11th: We have had to suspend all new mail orders whilst we clear a long list of orders to date. We are again struggling to pack enough orders in one day, to keep up with demand!
We are very grateful for all orders received during these uncertain times and hope to be back to our full offering again soon.
Below you will read our roller coaster journey through lockdown...
UPDATE 1st May: On Monday May 4th, we will be putting some more items back in stock. We have been so busy sending orders, that we have had little time to make new stock. Therefore, we have run out of ready made stock, so we need to begin making new batches. I will try and put a date on each item, as to when we hope to produce more and have them back in stock.
UPDATE 24th April: Feeling a little more on top of the back log, hoping to begin taking orders again w/c 4th of May. Until then you can order our smaller items - Plant Tunnels, Plant Labels, Edging Hoops and Plant Crooks.
UPDATED 21st April: Due to an overwhelming number of orders received since reopening (April 10th), we find it necessary to temporarily suspend our mail order offering, just whilst we clear the back log of orders to date. We are struggling to pack enough orders in one day and the delivery network are struggling with the volume of parcels.
For a short period (1-2 weeks) most items will appear ‘sold out’. Smaller items are still available, but will not be delivered until the bulk of current orders are collected. We will be back to our full offering again soon.
UPDATED April 10th: After a short closure, we are now open again, for online mail orders only, as of 10th of April. We have scaled back to our original family team, enabling us to continue making, packing and sending orders, but at a slower pace!
UPDATED 3rd April: We now plan to open again on Friday April 10th. A little extension to get us through the Easter school holidays before we re-open for mail orders (changed from original plan of Monday 6th April).
On March 21st, we made the decision to temporarily suspend our mail order service, whilst we grappled childcare arrangements, in light of the recent developments in the fight against the Coronavirus. We are a small rural team at Plant Belles HQ and Easter holidays have always been a challenge (as this is historically our busiest period of the year). No school next week, means we are down to a skeleton team. By closing the online shop this weekend, we will be able to catch up on all current orders, whilst freezing new orders for a short period (estimated three weeks), until we put in place new plans for home schooling and reduced staff hours.
Our delivery network continues to operate as normal. Therefore, once we are confident we can resume our normal service, we will be keen to return to 'business as usual'.
May gardens and gardening be a sanctuary for all, in these difficult times. We will be back making, packing and sending Plant Belle products for your gardens after this untimely Easter break.
